20% propolis dissolved in 70% ethanol

The bees collect resins from various tree buds and process them further in the hive. They use this mass to disinfect their homes and seal cracks so that there is no draft in the colony - especially in winter.

The term PROPOLIS comes from ancient Greek: "Pro" means "before" and "polis" means "city", so together it means "before the city". In addition, "propolis" means "putty and filling" in German.

In colloquial language, PROPOLIS is also known as resin. The history of bee resin goes back to the earliest history of mankind. In the first advanced civilizations, such as the ancient Egyptians, honey and propolis were used to embalm mummies. The first records of the treatment of cuts and injuries with PROPOLIS date from this time. We collect propolis from our bee colonies. It is then frozen and then ground into powder. Finally, we let it steep in 96 - 98% alcohol for at least a month. The container is shaken at least twice a day so that the valuable substances in the PROPOLIS dissolve well. We filter the liquid (= our finished PROPOLIS) after about a month and fill it into small bottles. No other additives are added here either! PROPOLIS components:

- Approx. 50 - 55% resins and balsams
- Approx. 25 - 30% beeswax
- Approx. 8 - 11% essential oils
- Approx. 5% pollen
- Approx. 5% vitamins, minerals, trace elements and various organic substances
- Enriched with ferments
- PROPOLIS is very versatile!
