Green Cloud Nine is a sustainability-focused NGO working to make sustainable living more accessible through practical information, digital content, education and carefully selected products and resources.

As an HR Generalist Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience across people, recruitment and organisational development. You’ll support day-to-day HR activities while helping shape the way a growing, international NGO attracts, supports and develops its people.

Your tasks

  • You will manage recruiting/talent acquisition, coordinate briefing meetings, decide on the appropriate search strategy, conduct interviews and make the decision together with the hiring managers

  • You ensure that our candidates have an excellent applicant experience and take care of the onboarding and offboarding processes

  • You will create the contracts and manage contract changes

  • You help create a great employee experience

  • You will prepare, organize and deliver employee training.

  • You'll help organize and review employee engagement surveys and create action plans/initiatives to improve engagement across all teams

  • You will manage our internal people operations tool, ensure the correctness of the data and create HR reports

  • You drive forward the internal development and career path of our employees

Your profile

  • You have already some work experience in recruitment or equivalent, ideally in a startup

  • You are confident conducting interviews for several roles in different fields.

  • You have experience in active talent searching via social networks (e.g. LinkedIn)

     

  • You enjoy identifying and approaching talents and are enthusiastic about trends in recruiting

  • You are fluent in English. Other languages are a plus.

  • Willing to learn and demonstrating a high level of commitment and reliability.

  • Able to define and implement action plans, while optimising performance

  • Passion for sustainability and environmental issues

  • Self-starter with an ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.

  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail

Internship details

Duration: Preferably 6 months or longer
Working hours: Part-time, approximately 20 hours/week
Location: 100% remote
Start: Immediately
Compensation: Unpaid
Preferred: University-mandatory internships
